Bloodstock started as an indoor festival in 2001, and since 2005 it is known as Bloodstock Open Air, held annually at Catton Park in Derbyshire. Throughout the years, headlining acts like Twisted Sister, Children of Bodom, Saxon, Motörhead, Behemoth, Lamb of God, and Slayer played at the biggest independent metal festival in the United Kingdom.
Bloodstock has four stages, and there are several other forms of entertainment on site, including plenty of food stalls, bars, shops and a fairground. Bloodstock offers all facilities a festival visitor might need, so there is nothing to worry about, and you can focus on partying and enjoying an amazing metal festival experience.

How do I get to the festival?
You have several options to get to Bloodstock Open Air, and the most convenient one might be taking a direct coach operated by Big Green Coach. They offer return travels from more than 21 locations in the UK, for which you can sign up here.
If you are coming from abroad, the best options would be to fly to Birmingham or Nottingham East Midlands Airport, as they are both 20 miles away from Catton Park. Flying to London or Manchester is also an option, from which you can take the direct coach, or other means of transport, either car or train.
If you wish to go by train, the best option would be to leave from Birmingham New Street railway station to Lichfield City. From Lichfield City there are shuttle buses taking you to the festival site.

Is there a festival campsite?
Yes, Bloodstock has seven standard campsites carrying names from Nordic mythology, including a quiet campsite called Ragnarok, which has a curfew after midnight. The campsite also has a shop in Midgard, shower facilities and drinking water as well.
