Red Hot Chili Peppers announce their first rescheduled festival performances for 2021. The band will be headlining Pinkpop next summer on Friday 18 June.
Red Hot Chili Peppers were scheduled to perform at a few European festivals this summer following the return of John Frusciante in November 2019. However, they postponed all their shows following to the coronavirus outbreak.
The American rock band now confirm they will be returning to Europe next summer, headlining some of the same festivals. So far, Pinkpop and Ejekt Festival in Athens have revealed that the band will be returning next summer. In addition, they also announce that their show at Funkyard in Tel Aviv will now take place on 23 June 2021.
As most of their shows have been postponed from early to mid-June it still remains a mystery whether Red Hot Chili Peppers will be adding more festival shows to their tour next summer.

Red Hot Chili Peppers
Red Hot Chili Peppers are an American rock band from Los Angeles. Their line-up has changed a lot since they formed in 1983. As a result, frontman Anthony Kiedis and bassist Flea are the only original members remaining. Their current line-up is the most well-known, with drummer Chad Smith and guitarist John Frusciante. With their funky rock music, the Peppers have sold over 80 million records worldwide. They are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and hold the record for the most number-one singles on the American Alternative Songs charts.
Pinkpop took place for the first time in 1970, making it one of the oldest annual music festivals in the world. The Dutch festival often boasts impressive lineups. In the past decade, headliners included Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Metallica, Muse, Paul McCartney, and The Rolling Stones. Pinkpop covers a variety of music genres from indie, rock, and metal to pop, hip hop, and dance.
