Eminem in 2020: 5 reasons why we need him at European festivals

Eminem is one of the greatest rappers of all time. Yet, he is not known for being a regular name at festivals, especially in Europe. Here are 5 reasons why we want to see him at European Festivals in 2020.

1. It has been 2 years since his last European Festival

We know how rare Eminem performs in Europe ever since the beginning of his career. In 2018, he only had nine European shows among which only two were at a festival. He headlined Roskilde Festival in Denmark and Oslo Sommermid in Norway.

2. He released a new album

In January 2020, the rapper released his 11th studio album Music To Be Murdered By. Even though he is not promoting his album in a traditional way, it would be a good opportunity to hear his new tunes live.

3. High Anticipation after Oscars

Eminem made quite a surprising performance at the Oscars 2020. 17 years after he won the Best Original Song Oscar, he decided to make an appearance at the ceremony. This action took everyone by surprise. The anticipation and probability to see Eminem live increased.

4. Legend Status

Eminem indubitably gained the legend status, thanks to his rhyming and rapping skills. His influence on popular culture with his many confrontational lyrical content and videos is undeniable for the last two decades.

5. Some Headliner Spots are still empty

A lot of major festivals like Mad Cool, Glastonbury and Sziget are missing a big name on their line-up. Slim Shady would easily fill in any of them. Last year, Pinkpop almost booked him. 2020 would be a perfect year to see him again in European Festivals.

Eminem aka Marshall Matters is one of the most successful rappers of all time. In his 30-year-long career, he has released 11 studio albums and won 15 Grammy awards as well as many others, including an Academy Award. He released a surprise album, Kamikaze, in August 2018. After the harsh criticism received for his album Revival, this was his response. It contains many controversial disses aimed at popular hip hop artists like Machine Gun Kelly and Drake. In January 2020, he released yet another surprise album Music to be murdered by. You can check his first single Darkness from above.
