Primavera Sound’s curator Gabi Ruiz reveals news about next year’s edition in a radio show. The Spanish festival hopes to reveal its line-up in early December.

Once again, Ruiz makes an appearance on Radio Primavera Sound. In the show, he answers several questions from listeners. He says that the line-up could drop between late November and late January, but the festival hopes to make the big reveal in early December.

So far, only the iconic indie rockers Pavement have announced that they would reunite for Primavera Sound 2020. Who else can we expect to perform at the festival’s 20th anniversary?

Ruiz confirms that Portishead are a possibility, and that his ‘spies’ have said a new album may arrive next year. Sufjan Stevens, Frank Ocean and Kendrick Lamar are also mentioned, even if they are ‘very peculiar artists’ who you can’t just book with large amounts of money.

Even though Nine Inch Nails were originally meant to perform at Primavera, this deal seems to have bounced off.
