IDLES prove they are the festival act of the summer at NOS Alive 2019

IDLES

Despite their punk attitude, Idles are really nice guys. They played an incredible and powerful set at NOS Alive 2019 and looking at the crowd during their concert they have been one of the highlights of the festival.

Idles are on a roll this summer, they are playing almost every festival in Europe and in US and they had their climax with the epic performance at Glastonbury.

Concert and Setlist

The band from Bristol started with the first song of their first LP, ‘Heel/Heal’ and the crowd was already on fire. The show went on with ‘Never Fight A Man With The Perm’ and all people went totally crazy. Talbot and the two guitarists were the matadors: singer Joe Talbot was literally possessed: jumping, screaming, rolling on the floor and spiting everywhere. The two guitarists were amazing as well, each one did a stage diving twice. Idles went on playing ‘Mother’, ‘Faith In The City’, ‘I’m Scum’, ‘1049 Gotho’ dedicated to his best friend, ‘Divide And Conquer’ and ‘Love Song’. ‘Danny Nedelko’ was one of the highlight as usual with the guitarist BoBo screaming in the crowd. Then the show was on fire: ‘Benzocaine’, ‘Samaritans’, ‘Television’ and in the end the killer tune ‘Rottweiler’.

Audience

Francisco from Lisbon, Portugal: “The best song of the concert was ‘Rottweiler’ and the best moment was the last mosh pit with everyone running around and I felt down and someone picked me up, that was awesome”.

Steven from Germany: “I can’t tell, from the beginning to the end was one song and then just jumping and getting sweating.

Eilish from Ireland: “Oooh best song is probably ‘Samaritans’, I love so much IDLES because they express an amazing message, they are very conscious and because they express masculinity in a very healthy way.

Mateo from Barcelona: “I really appreciated ‘Love Song’ because I think it’s a romantic thing merging love and punk. I love IDLES because they are positive and their message is always lovable.

IDLES

The year of 2018 is taken by storm by Idles with their second music record in career named Joy as an Act of Resistance. This quintet comes from Bristol, UK and their musical expression contains vigorous punk rock and hardcore influences. Idles’ live performances are high octane and energetic shows.
