Iron Maiden to return to Europe in 2020?

According to the French radio producer Francis Zégut, Iron Maiden will probably be performing at Paris La Défense Arena, previously also known as U Arena in May 2020.

Earlier, certain rumours started circulating about a potential recording and release of the band’s new album. Now, the RTL radio producer, Francis Zégut has mentioned that the legendary heavy metal band would possibly appear at Paris next year. Usually, the French producer is well informed and is most of the times correct with his hints. If the rumours are true, this will be the return of Iron Maiden at European soil after two years of absence.

However, we will have to wait and see whether an official release will be confirmed soon and if these rumours then prove to be true.

Iron Maiden are currently preparing for the start of the American leg of their Legacy of the Beast tour. The leg starts in mid-July. Moreover, the band will also be headlining Rock in Rio 2019 this fall.

Iron Maiden

Iron Maiden are an English metal band formed in 1975 by the bassist Steve Harris. In 1980, the band released their debut self-titled album. Two years later, they released their infamous third album, The Number of the Beast, which featured the vocalist Bruce Dickinson. Following the release of Fear of the Dark, Dickinson decided to leave the band and concentrate on his solo career. However, he returned in 1999.

With 32 albums, 2000 live shows and more than 100 million copies of their albums sold worldwide, they are considered to be one of the most successful and influential bands in metal history. The band is also known for their energetic concerts with spectacular stage sets.

Fun fact: the weirdest collaboration happen between Bruce Dickinson, the singer of Iron Maiden, and Rowan Atkinson (aka Mr. Bean). They created a music video making fun of politicians that you can see here.
