Dutch television show RTL Boulevard announces that the Dutch DJ and record producer Armin van Buuren will be closing the Sunday of Pinkpop 2019. The Dutch festival has not confirmed this yet.
Both festival director Jan Smeets and Armin van Buuren cannot confirm the performance. When asked whether Armin van Buuren will indeed close the Sunday, Smeets responds that “he can’t say anything”. He did mention that there will be many dance acts at the festival this year. Armin himself called the festival ‘iconic’ and said he would find it very cool.
Previously, the festival announced that Fleetwood Mac, Mumford and Sons, Tenacious D, George Ezra, Bring Me The Horizon and Krezip will take the stage. Moreover, the Dutch rock band Golden Earring has self-confirmed for the festival.

Armin van Buuren
Armin van Buuren is a Dutch DJ and record producer from Leiden, born in 1976. No less than five times, he was voted the best DJ in the world. He has been involved in the scene for years, releasing his debut album 76 in 2003. This year, the DJ is launching one hit after another, including ‘Sex, Love and Water’, ‘Therapy’ and ‘Wild Wild Son’. Moreover, his live performances always guarantee a big party. This summer, the DJ will be also performing at Balaton Sound, among others .
Pinkpop was organised for the first time in 1970, making it one of the oldest annual music festivals in the world. The Dutch festival often boasts impressive lineups. In the past decade, headliners included Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Metallica, Muse, Paul McCartney, and The Rolling Stones. Pinkpop covers a variety of music genres from indie, rock and metal to pop, hip hop, and dance.
