Ejekt Festival 2019 has confirmed several new bands for the
15th anniversary edition of the festival. The English indie and folk-rock singer Michael Kiwanuka, Ride and more are among the latest additions. Ejekt Festival will take place on 17 July 2019.

Other names that were confirmed include the American music trio Khruangbin and The Steams. Earlier, it was confirmed that The Cure will be headlining Ejekt Festival this summer.

For Ride, this is their first European festival announcement for 2019. However, Michael Kiwanuka will also be performing at the End Of The Road, Pohoda, A Summer’s Tale, Haldern Pop and Cruilla festivals this summer.

Michael Kiwanuka

Michael Kiwanuka is an English indie rock singer and record producer born in 1987. He started his music career as a session guitarist for the English rapper Chipmunk and Bashy before releasing his debut album Home Again in 2012. The album gained positive reviews from the critics, peaking at number 4 in the UK charts. In 2016, he released his second album Love & Hate, which received even greater critical and commercial success. With clear influences from many great musicians such as Jimi Hendrix, Bill Withers and Ottis Reading, Kiwanuka has been the opening act for many great artists including Adele in 2011 and Mumford and Sons.

Ejekt Festival 2019

Ejekt Festival is a music festival that takes place annually at Plateia Nerou in Athens, Greece. The festival first took place in 2005 and since then has become one of the leading music festivals of Greece. In the past years, the festival has hosted the biggest names of rock scene such as  Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Muse, The Killers, Kasabian, Editors and many more.
