EXIT Festival has confirmed many new acts including the German producer of electronic music Paul Kalkbrenner, Charlotte de Witte and many more. The Serbian festival will take place between 4 and 7 July 2019.

Οther acts that were confirmed and will be performing alongside Paul Kalbrenner, Carl Cox and Charlotte de Witte in the mts Dance Arena include the Belgian electronic music DJ Amelie LensJeff Mills, Dax JBoris BrejchaPeggy GouMaceo PlexMonika Kruse and more.

Previous additions to the festival’s lineup include The Cure, Dimitri Vegas and Like MikeGreta Van Fleet, Tom Walker, Lost Frequencies Phillip H. Anselmo & The Illegals and more.

Earlier, it was confirmed that Charlotte de Witte will also be performing at Dour 2019. Paul Kalkbrenner has been also confirmed for Lowlands and Forbidden Fruit festivals.

Paul Kalkbrenner

Paul Kalkbrenner is a German techno-musician and electronic music producer born in 1977. He released his debut album Superimpose in 2001. Following the release of his third album Self in 2004, Kalkbrenner was approached by the German film director Hannes Stöhr. He wanted to cooperate with Paul for the creation of a movie soundtrack for a film that Stöhr was planning to direct. The film was about a Berlin DJ during the 2000s. Paul Kalkbrenner then ended up with the leading role in the film. The soundtrack also included the song ”Sky and Sand” featuring the vocals of his brother Fritz Kalkbrenner. Since then Kalkbrenner has recorded four more studio albums and performed at many festivals around the world including Mad Cool and Coachella.

EXIT Festival 2019

EXIT Festival started in 2000 as a student movement fighting for democracy and freedom in Serbia and the Balkans. Throughout the years, EXIT has received several awards such as the Golden Superbrand at Superbrands Serbia 2006 and Best Major Festival in 2013 and 2017 at the annual European Festival Awards. With its five stages, the festival features a mixture of music genres from electronic and hip hop to rock and reggae.
