Another headliner has been confirmed for Rock in Roma 2019. The British rock band Skunk Anansie will headline the event on 8 July. Rock in Roma will take place between June-July 2019. 

For Skunk Anansie, this is the first European festival announcement for 2019. The band will be celebreting their 25th anniversary and to honor that they will release a new live album 25LIVE@25. The album will hit the stores on 25th January 2019.

Earlier it was announced that Kraftwerk (27 – 28.06) and Thirty Seconds To Mars (03.07) will be also headlining Rock in Roma next summer.

Skunk Anansie

Skunk Anansie are a British rock band from London formed in 1994. The name of the band is taken from Akann folk tales of Anansi, the spider-man of Ghana, with “Skunk” added to make the name nastier. Their debut album  Paranoid & Sunburnt was released in 1995 and feautured a mix of controversial protest songs focused on religion and politics. Since then the band has released five more albums, while from 2002-2008 the band was dissolved. Skunk Anansie reunited however in 2009 for a Greates Hits tour. Skunk Anansie are considered nowadays an important group of Britrock/Britpop movements and one of the most successful UK chart acts of the last decade.

Rock in Roma 2019

Rock in Roma is an annual rock music festival that has taken place in Rome since 2002. Until 2008, it was known as Romarock Festival. It differs from the traditional festival in that it features bands on individual days spread across a two month period. Despite its name, it has quite an eclectic group of musicians performing each year.
