Doctor Music Festival announces first batch of names for its next year’s edition. The Strokes and The Prodigy were announced among other names. DMF 2019 will take place from 11 to 14 July.

The legendary Spanish festival comes back with a fantastic lineup. This comeback takes place nineteen years after its last edition!

Besides The Strokes and The Prodigy other superb performers made the list. Mando Diao, La Pegatina, Greta Van Fleet and many more will take the stage in Catalunya.

It was previously revealed that The Smashing Pumpkins, King Crimson and Underworld will perform in Spain next summer.

It’s the second announcement for The Strokes in 2019, after Bilbao BBK took its festival goers by surprise with this awesome addition.

For all names, you can see the poster below:

The Strokes

The Strokes is an American rock band formed in 1998 in New York City. Five albums were enough for the band to become indie rock icons. After some festival performances around the world in recent years, like Splendour In The Grass in Australia in 2016, or South American Lollapaloozas in 2017, the band took a break. Lead singer Julian Casablancas started to tour with The Voidz, while rhythm guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. was working on his solo project. In January 2018, Julian Casablancas declared that the band would most likely return in 2019. It is now a certainty. Listen to their anthemic song ‘Reptilia’ above.

Doctor Music Festival 2019

Doctor Music started as organizer or large scale concerts in Spain. In 1996 the organization moved forward creating one of the first big festivals in Spain with names like David Bowie, Blur and Sepultura. Another three editions were held until 2000 hosting names like Alice Cooper, Rage Against the Machine, Nick Cave and Deep Purple.
