Hellfest sold out quickly again this year, setting a new record for the festival. Five bands have already been announced, including Slayer.
After 6 days in 2017 and 36 hours the next year, the 2019 edition of Hellfest has broken all previous records. Tickets have sold out in a matter of hours. This is impressive for a genre-focused festival, but the festival-goers had received a taste for what is to come, with 5 bands already announced (since the last day of this year’s festival): Manowar, Slayer, Dropkick Murphys, Carcass and Mass Hysteria. This will be Manowar‘s last show in France, and the fans will also have the opportunity to chose the songs for the show.

Last year, the headliners were Avenged Sevenfold, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. Other big names included Marilyn Manson, Deftones, Nightwish, Alice in Chains and supergroup Hollywood Vampires. The 3rd and lowest tiers have also seen some incredible rock and metal bands. Hellfest is always guaranteed to put up a great lineup and that is probably the main reason for the huge success of the French festival.
Hellfest is a hard rock/heavy metal festival. It is considered to be one of the best and largest metal festivals in France. The festival was organized for the first time in 2006 and takes place annually in Clisson. Every year more than 50,000 visitors attend the festival, which is sold-out almost every year. In 2018, Judas Priest, Avenged Sevenfold and Iron Maiden headlined the Main Stage.
