Arctic Monkeys have just announced a new Australian tour. The English band will cover all major cities in Australia plus a show in New Zealand. The tour will take place next spring, leaving ample space for potential appearances at European festivals.

Arctic Monkeys had a successful year releasing a new album and, most importantly, headlining a large number of festivals in Europe. And now the new year brings a new Australian tour. Should we expect a comeback to Europe next summer as well?

Their immediate plans include performances at Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. In addition, there will be a show in Auckland, New Zealand.

Arctic Monkeys will be supported by Mini Mansions, a side project of Queens of the Stone Age bassist Michael Shuman.

Arctic Monkeys are an English indie rock band from Sheffield. The band formed in 2002 and since then they have released six studio albums. Their debut album came out in 2006 and gained immediate attention from the media. It became the fastest-selling debut album by a band in British music history and Rolling Stone magazine ranked it among the best debut albums of all times. Their fifth album, AM, was released in 2013 and gained very positive reviews. It is also one of the best-selling vinyl albums of the decade, combining elements of psychedelic and hard rock. Their latest album, Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino, came out in May 2018. Although it came as a bit of a shock for most fans, due to it being very different from previous work, it has generally received positive reviews. Arctic Monkeys have also won various awards including six Brit Awards and have been nominated for three Grammy Awards.
