One of the most important heavy metal festivals in Spain, Resurrection Fest, has revealed the first acts for next year. Parkway Drive, Trivium, Testament and more are among the first confirmed bands.
Just a week before the release of the first tickets, Resurrection Fest has revealed, in a special video announcement, its first bands. It also highlighted that the show of Parkway Drive at the festival will be the only show of the band in Spain and Portugal for the next two years. Furthermore, it will also be the first full production show of the band in the country.
Other acts that were confirmed include the Norwegian heavy metal band Kvelertak and While She Sleeps. These festival appearances together with Trivium’s will be their only shows in Spain for 2019.
Earlier, Parkway Drive were also confirmed as a part of the 30th anniversary edition of Wacken Open Air, indicating the band will be performing at European festivals this summer.

Parkway Drive are an Australian metalcore band formed in 2003. Their debut album Killing with a Smile was released two years later and received very positive reviews from the media. Since then the band has released five more albums while their last four have sold more than 240,000 copies. The band’s sound consists of classic metalcore elements, combining screaming vocals with heavy guitar riffs. With major influences from Avenged Sevenfold and Faith No More, Parkway Drive are considered one the best live metalcore bands. Their last album Reverence was released in May 2018.
Resurrection Fest is a heavy metal and hard rock music festival taking place in Viveiro, Spain. The festival was organized for the first time in 2006 as a one-day event. Over the years it grew in a four-day event as we know it today. With more than 54.000 people attending every year and more than 100 bands performing at the festival, Resurrection Fest is considered now as one of the most important festivals for fans of heavy sound in Spain and Portugal.since 2015.
