Rock Werchter announced its second cancellation of its 2018 edition, after Dotan had previously cancelled and was replaced by Milionaire. This time, it’s The Struts who are pulling out, and will be replaced by SONS.

The Struts are one of the best rock band live, with a great stage presence. It won’t surprise you to know that they pulled out of Rock Werchter because Foo Fighters asked them to join them again for the second leg of their American tour. This is the statement by the Belgian festival:

The Struts are currently touring the US with Foo Fighters. The band is now invited to support them during the second leg of the US tour as well. Consequently The Struts are pulling out of Rock Werchter“.

SONS, the replacement, are the winners of Studio Brussel’s De Nieuwe Lichting 2018. The garage-punk band from Antwerp will be opening the main stage on Saturday 7 July.
