Peter Gene Hernandez, better known as Bruno Mars, is an American popstar from Hawaii. After collaborations with B.o.B and Travie McCoy, he had a major breakthrough in 2010 with international hit singles ‘Just the Way You Are’, ‘Grenade’ and ‘The Lazy Song’. Since then, the singer-songwriter has released hit after hit. His 2016 album 24K Magic won seven Grammy Awards. In total, Bruno Mars has produced seven number-one singles in the US, and sold over 130 million records worldwide.
The first edition of Lollapalooza was organized in 1991 by Perry Farrell, as a farewell tour for his band Jane’s Addiction. Originally, the festival toured around the US, but in 2005 it settled in central Chicago’s Grant Park. Since 2010, international sister festivals have sprung up in Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Berlin and Paris. However, the original American version still remains one of the biggest music festivals in the world.
